Scoreboard Quantity Planning: Singles, Pairs, Sets and Optional Stands
A quantity can look clear on a purchase request while the equipment scope is not. A main scoreboard, a two-end shot-clock pair, its controller and a stand are different purchasing lines. This guide uses the published RYK product scope to help buyers state what a quantity refers to and ask for written confirmation before comparing quotes or planning a court layout.
Put the unit of measure beside every line in the inquiry: one main scoreboard, one shot-clock pair, one controller, two stand brackets or one optional wheeled stand. Do not rely on a total number such as ‘two scoreboards’ when the project actually needs a main display plus timing at both basket ends. A unit label makes a supplier's confirmation and a quote comparison much easier to read.
Treat a court-end timing pair as a pair when the product page does. The Wireless Basketball Shot Clock is published as a pair with a controller, with one display for each end of an indoor court; its optional shot-clock stand is listed separately. Ask for the pair quantity, the controller scope, the chosen battery or AC version and any requested stand on separate lines rather than converting the pair into two unrelated single-display requests.
Keep included brackets distinct from optional floor stands. The YS Basketball Hoop Shot Clock Pair is described as one pair with stand brackets for basketball-hoop or basketball-stand mounting. That product scope is different from the Wireless Basketball Shot Clock Pair's separately listed floor stand. Provide photos or a sketch of the existing hoop or support and ask RYK to confirm the proposed mounting arrangement for the exact selected model.
Quote controller choice as part of the system line. The YS 24s LED Shot Clock Pair is published as two single-face 24-second timers with controller, with app control or wireless-console control options and fixed-pole or tripod stand options. State one pair, the requested control option and the preferred stand style; do not assume that a controller, stand or control method from another shot-clock listing is included in this configuration.
List a main display separately from timing equipment and table accessories. For example, an Indoor Tabletop LED Scoreboard is a single main display, while its wheeled stand and carrying bag are separately available. A possession indicator is another compact basketball accessory rather than a replacement for either a main scoreboard or a shot-clock pair. This item-by-item structure prevents a quantity for one product category being mistaken for the complete court package.
Use a simple quantity schedule before requesting a quote: model and product role; quantity and unit (single, pair or set); selected control method; requested stand, bracket, bag or other accessory; intended court position; power version where published; destination; and a request to confirm every included versus separately quoted item. For an existing venue, attach court photos and identify any equipment that remains in place. The written confirmation should govern final purchasing and installation planning.
